Sad Dad Motors

Welcome to Sad Dad Motors!

This game engine and editor are the love child and passion project developed by me and my good friend and classmate Filip Orrling. We began development almost a year ago, and today we mainly work on it outside of school. However, almost all assignments we have received in TGA since we began development have been made in this engine. In addition, both of our specializations and one of our classmates’ are also made here. It’s an engine that reminds you of an old car, not the most reliable piece of machinery and in constant need of a tune-up, but with some love, it always delivers and takes you from point A to B. It is an excellent sandbox to play around in, and even though both Filip and I consider ourselves gameplay and tools programmers, we have been able to create something that, in my opinion, is pretty great. It is multithreaded in all the right places, has a robust component system, and the ability to build, save, and load scenes in the editor. What more could you need? Probably a lot, but we’re getting there, and the road is beautiful.

This page is by no means finished, and I aim to update and showcase some examples from this wonderful piece of machinery as soon as possible. And you are more than welcome back.
